Pre-Marital Counseling

We believe the best way to prepare for marriage is for us to match engaged couples with a married couple who has similar interests, and then for the engaged and already married couple to follow our Preparing for Marriage mentoring program in order that the engaged couple will learn more about each other and what it means to have a gospel-centered marriage, as well as to have a constant connect point for questions, guidance and concerns along the way.

The program consists of six meetings, videos and homework that will help engaged couples effectively prepare for marriage. However, the great thing about this program is that it doesn't stop with these meetings - the married couple becomes marriage mentors to the engaged couple and they will be sure to follow up with the engaged couple after they are married to ensure they are on the right path with Jesus at the center of their marriage, as well as to be there to talk to, and help answer any questions that come up along the way. All marriage mentors, as we call them, must be married for a minimum number of years, and exhibit a healthy, gospel-centered marriage before they are accepted as mentors.

We are excited to learn of your engagement and want to affirm your commitment to seek pre-marital counseling through the Preparing for Marriage (PFM) ministry. This is a wise step and we have a team of experienced married couples who are excited to help you start your marriage in a healthy, wise and godly fashion.  Participation in our Preparing for Marriage framework is available to regular attendees of an Antioch-New England church (Antioch Community Church Brighton, The Harbor Church, Antioch Community Church Waltham).

The form below will help us get to know you and get you plugged in to the PFM ministry.  Thank you for taking the time to fill it out.  Please feel free to contact Michael or Erin Ellis, the leaders of our Family Lifegroups if you have any questions.
